3. Third-party cookies
WhatAWeather loads external resources required for the operation of the interactive map and data visualization:
- Leaflet (map tiles): The interactive map loads tile images from CartoDB and other map providers' servers. These servers may set technical cookies needed for content delivery.
- Script CDN: JavaScript libraries are loaded from
unpkg.comandcdn.jsdelivr.netfor the application to work. These CDN servers may record technical access data.
No analytics cookies (Google Analytics or similar), advertising cookies, or tracking cookies of any kind are used.
4. Use of localStorage
WhatAWeather uses the browser's localStorage technology to store user preferences locally. Unlike traditional cookies:
- Data stored in localStorage is not automatically sent to the server with each HTTP request.
- It remains stored in the user's browser until manually deleted or the site's data is cleared.
- It is only accessible from the WhatAWeather site itself.
- It is used only to remember user display and configuration preferences.
5. How to manage and disable cookies
